With Halloween just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to dive into a creative project that combines the spooky charm of Halloween and the art of scrapbooking. In this tutorial, I’ll guide you through the process of crafting a delightful “I Want Candy Halloween Scrapbook Layout” that’s sure to bring smiles and fond memories to your Halloween keepsakes.

Getting Inspired: The inspiration for this scrapbook layout came from a recent layout I was working on with a Holiday wreath and I thought let’s mash it up with , the enchanting “I Want Candy” collection, and cherished memories from a Halloween in 2003. As I stumbled upon old photos of my kids dressed as a Care Bear and an adorable puppy, the idea to incorporate these precious memories into a Halloween-themed scrapbook layout took shape.

Before we dive into the creative process, let’s gather the materials and supplies you’ll need for this scrapbooking project.

  • I want Candy Paper Packet
  • Cardstock: Black, White Daisy, Periwinkle, Ballerina, Glacier, Jade, Pumpkin,Espresso
  • Ink: Intense Black, Sundance, Periwinkle
  • Pen: Dark Grey
  • Stamps: I want Candy Stamp + thin cuts, Eerie-sistible Stamp + thin cut
  • Embellishments: I want Candy Puffy Stickers, Bitty Sparkles
  • Tri-Blends: Citrus, Alpine Green, Aqua Blue, Brown Grey, Pale Pink, Purple Blend, and Earth Brown
  • 3-d Foam and adhesive of choice
  • Artist-tac (Amazon)

Creating the Scrapbook Layout: Now, let’s dive into the creative process:

  • Step 1: Coloring the “I Want Candy” Stamp Set: I decided to use many different methods to colour my stamped images. I used the Tr-Blend marker that I listed above. But I also had some fun with paper piecing the images.
  • Step 2: Assembling the Scrapbook Layout: I staryed by add the Sundance ink to the background. Then I add the thin cut spider webs. Next I decided where my photos where going to go. Then I had fun by decorating the wreath!
  • Step 3: Adding the Nostalgic Touch: During the You Tube video I talk about how fun it was to walk down memory lane with these cute photos from 2003.
  • Step 4: Final Touches and Presentation: You will noticed that I had added in the coloured images at diffeent height to create visual interest. There are also many different sizes of images, so I started with the largest down to the smallest.

Crafting this “I Want Candy Halloween Scrapbook Layout” has allowed me to blend creativity, nostalgia, and the Halloween spirit into one special project. I hope you find inspiration in this tutorial to create your own Halloween memories and celebrate the season with a touch of sweetness preserved in your scrapbook.
