We are just starting to feel Fall in the air here and with that comes Pumpkin Spice 😉 right? This was such a perfect theme for this week as we had the first day of Fall this week. During this week’s live videos I created a beautiful slimline card and a fun double page layout with the Pumpkin Spice collection from Close to My Heart.

I am so glad I am able to share stories and experiences while I am teaching. During the first video this week I show a card that I made for a very special bride. My daughter is in her wedding party and was able to give her the card today. But during the video I re-created a simpler version that was a birthday card. If by chance you missed it and would like watch I will add the link below to the video on YouTube. I would love it if while you are there you would click ‘subscribe’ and turn on notifications, it would really help me out I am trying to grow on channel.

I can tell you that I am going to be using the Layered Flower Thin Cuts a ton this year!! They are so versatile and I love that I don’t need to go into Design Space and load up my mats, etc. Don’t get me wrong I love my Cricut but some days it is so nice to just quickly crank out a few thin cuts and have a beautiful card. Another thing I wanted to mention if after I finished the live class something was just not right about my card. So I swapped out the large flower for a darker Papaya flower and it made all the difference. I am so thrilled with the final results.

After the slimline card I went in a different direction. This time I created a layout, with my Cricut 😉 see I do use it also. There is a place for both thin cuts and Cricut. The whole layout started because I knew when I saw that plaid paper in the Pumpkin Spice collection I wanted to create a few plaid pumpkins. If you missed it here is the link to the video.

This layout is a mash-up of two layouts on the CTMH Complete Creativity cartridge. I had fun playing with all the different elements, hiding contours and changing the dimensions to suit my project. The background is splattered with the new Gilt Gloss Spray (love it) to tie a bunch of the elements together, like the Gold Loose Sequins and the Gold Shimmer Trim. What can I say Pumpkin Spice week was a good week!!

PS- Don’t forget that I have a beautiful Pumpkin Spice Scrapbooking Workshop

You can read all the details on how you can create these beautiful layouts for yourself on this blog post.

Have a great weekend!Chris
